Cape Cod Canal Centennial Canaliversary Celebration

The Cape Cod Canal 100 year celebration is tonight, with fireworks scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. This display has been promoted nationwide as one of the largest fireworks displays of the year. Viewing for this event will be from the shoreline along the Cape Cod Canal, the shoreline from Onset Bay and the waterways at the west end of the canal.

Please note that pedestrian traffic on the Bourne Bridge will be CLOSED off at 8:00 p.m. Parking for the event can be found on the Cape Cod Canal Centennial website at http://capecodcanalcentennial.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Parking-Areas-for-July-29th-2014.pdf

The Massachusetts State Police in conjunction with the Bourne Police and Fire Department as well as the Wareham Police and Fire Departments will be actively monitoring the event.

Hubbardston Traffic Advisory: Rt 62 @ Rt 68

MAtraffic Advisory:  There is a propane tanker rolled over on Route 62 at Route 68 in Hubbardston.  The area has been evacuated for half-mile radius.  Regional Hazmat team is in process of being deployed.  State Police are assisting Hubbardston Police & Fire at this scene.

Be advised traffic in the area is being impacted.  Please seek alternate route if you plan on traveling through this area.

Chelmsford Traffic Advisory: I-495 SB

MAtraffic Advisory:  Crash I-495 SB in Chelmsford at Exit (34) Rt-110. Rolled TT unit & a pickup. Two right lanes closed.  No serious injuries reported.

Littleton Traffic Advisory: I-495 SB

MAtraffic Advisory: Due to ongoing construction, there are continued delays on I-495 Southbound leading up to Route 2 (Exit 29) in Littleton.  Seek alternate route or plan for delays. 

Dorchester Traffic Advisory: I-93 SB HOV

MAtraffic I-93 SB HOV lane in Dorchester is closed to remove a disabled vehicle near the gas tanks.

MAtraffic Advisory: I-93 SB Boston, between the tunnel and Mass Ave (exit 18) 2 right lanes closed.  Numerous 5 gal. buckets of roofing tar spilled.

Ramp to I-495 NB from I-290 EB in #Marlboro is closed due to earlier TT-unit crash. #MAtraffic detoured to I-495 SB.
