General Edwards Drawbridge – Nighttime Drawbridge Openings
When:
Wednesday October 1, 2014 between 8 PM and 5 AM, and Thursday, October 2, 2014 between 8 PM and 5 AM
Where:
Lynn/Revere – General Edwards Drawbridge, Route 1A over the Saugus River
During the evenings of Wednesday, October 1, 2014 and Thursday, October 2, 2014, between 8 PM and 5 AM, the movable spans of the drawbridge will be opened, halting vehicular traffic for up to 20 minutes. The bridge will be opened several times throughout the night to train bridge operators in the use of recently-upgraded equipment. This work is scheduled at night to reduce the impacts to vehicular traffic.
